Reviews about Ajisai Sushi Bar
- 5 / 5By Henry JueBest sushi place in Vancouver. High quality food and great service, and not pretentious at all. You go there to have a great meal, not to show off to your friends and say you ate there. You won't find any gimmicks here. The lineup often is long due to their small space, but take out is always an option.June 05, 2017
- 4 / 5By A WitripThe sushi is consistently good. Because the place is so busy there is a very good turnover of all ingredients. We go 2 or 3 times per month.April 06, 2017
- 4 / 5By T GOverall satisfied with the food and Japanese experience. Tuna sashimi did just begin to melt in the mouth. Very good quality. I really liked the sushi rice too. Sitting and watching the 3 sushi chefs behind the bar prepare the dishes was fun. Free parking in area can be had and enough to casually stroll through Kerrisdale.November 01, 2016
- 5 / 5By Christine WongPrice is higher than average, but worth it for the quality of food. The fish is fresh and the menu has a great selection. One of the best places in Vancouver for authentic sushi.
Only critique is that the restaurant is small with limited seating. Get there early for seats!August 30, 2016 - 1 / 5By J CThe middle-aged hostess(owner?) was extremely rude to myself and my toddler son. We had to wait which was fine but when my son needed to sit down the hostess raised her voice and shouted at me and said the table wasn't ready. After waiting for 30 minutes my son needed a place to sit. I experienced her rudeness before but thought that was just a one off incident but this time was the same. The food was overpriced and the sushi combo was pathetic in terms of portion size. I have dined at various Japanese restaurants both cheap and some very high end. I, in general, find these busier establishments treat customers poorly even though they charge too much for their dinky little nigiri.July 11, 2016
