  I went for brunch. Everything felt rushed. They took our plates the same instant we finish. For a 14 dollar meal I expected more and better food. I left hungry. By the way, don't order juice, it is like box juice and half a glass. And please, if you are reading this review, tell the chef to use a cook hat and not to touch food like pickles with his bare hands. Thanks

  Excellent, friendly service and delicious pastas and pizzas. We had a pasta with pecorino and black pepper it was really amazing. So we're the meatball appetizers.

  My partner and I dined at this restaurant for the first time tonight. We likely won't return for the following reasons.
  
  We ordered the summer vegetable salad to start, spaghetti al pomodoro, and Margherita pizza as entrées.
  
  - Firstly, at the time of ordering, our server did not inform us of the daily specials. Which we did not knew it exist until we overheard another server was introducing their daily special menu to another group of newly arrived guests at the table next to ours.
  
  - Secondly, The main entrées did not arrive at the same time. My partner got her pasta dish first before my pizza which was 20-30 minutes apart from one another. Luckily, we were still working on our salad, so it wasn't a major nuisance. Nonetheless, it is inexcusable for the main dishes to be served at such a wide gap.
  
  - Last but not least, we were not offered any black peppers or hot chili flakes for our pasta when our dish arrived. Yet the table next to ours did. Not a make it or break it deal, but it is a problem especially when you include the other issues I've addressed.
  
  Now on to the dishes themselves which is clearly subjective.
  
  - The salad was good, but the portion size was below average. I'm not sure if I will order that again.
  
  - The pasta dish was too simple and bland. We both felt that we can make a better pasta at home. Not to mention, the portion size was small for what you paid. The spaghetti noodles were overcooked (non-al dente).
  
  - The pizza was the best dish of the night. The tomato sauce was flavorful and it was served piping hot. It's not the best neopolitan pizza in Vancouver, but I would say it's among the best.
  
  I don't think I'll be returning again. I might return for the pizza, but not for anything else. I feel that the quality, portion and customer service is better at Lombardo's, so that will remain as my go-to.
