  The ambience is the biggest standout; the warm, wooded interior is a good change from bog-standard Vancouver boxes that sell sushi. I'd recommend the chicken katsu if you're in need of a break from sushi. The portion size is easily fit for two and the katsu is spiced perfectly. Service was generally very good but can sometimes forget tables when there's a big group eclipsing the others. Apart from that, a lovely place for dinner.

  Definitely overpriced for the quality, the salmon sashimi was falling apart did not look fresh didn't taste fresh at all, it was pretty bad, chirashi rice was overcooked and want good either. Trust me overcooked rice that's been left in the rice cooker for a long time didn't taste good Takoyaki didn't taste great either, wasn't impressed at all. Wouldn't recommend.
  
  Edit: I let them know and they said the salmon was fresh, if that's the case the texture and rate were terrible so it could be the way they thaw it or prepare it or definitely something done wrong.

  Stop here every time I'm in Vancouver. Food always comes very quickly. Good prices. Very friendly staff. Never ordered something I was satisfied with.
