Honestly, why are people lining up here? I don't even mind waiting but I expect the experience to be worth the wait..
The decor is probably the best part. Service is also pretty good but the food is just bad. Flavour profile of the dishes was so off. Inedible... and I have no intention of coming back. Sad.

Great service. If you're coming as a group you should definitely get a few dishes and share them so that you can get a taste of everything. The waffles were out of this world, get the white chocolate rosewater sauce. I prefer the vegetarian mushroom fricassee over the beef brisket one. The paella is good but only get it if you're sharing as it can be overpowering on its own. The salmon fume was great too, but very small - two bites.

I've been here a couple times now. There's good ambience and the service is friendly. They have a great selection of interesting cocktails.

I had the veggie paella skillet. The presentation was outstanding - it certainly looked delicious, however the flavour left something to be desired and I found myself asking to for hot sauce to counter the blandness. I fear this is yet another case of not knowing how to add flavour without meat.

The waffles are decent and the dipping sauces are interesting, but they are reheated and you can definitely taste the difference. You're better off going down the street to Nero, where they make them fresh.

All in all, for the price, I would expect more.

Absolutely delicious. The coca (stone oven Moroccan style pizza) was one of the highlights of my foodie excursion in Vancouver, I'll be back to try it again soon! Medina also carries one of best waffles I've ever had the opportunity to try with a crispy exterior and tender interior. The toppings were also unheard of, and best of all it was at a reasonable price. The coffee / espresso couldn't be of higher quality and craftsmanship. If I could give those place six stars I would. Make your pilgrimage to Medina soon if you want to start your day right.

Went this morning.... 1/2 hr wait went quickly. I had the Paella with a fried egg. Unique and so full of wonderful flavours, not your typical breakfast that's for sure! My husband had the Wolf plate which was also excellent. Complete, well thought out and balanced meals. I would have loved to try many of the items I saw being served as they all looked excellent. We had a seat at the bar and watched the drinks being made with such attention to detail that it made me wish I had ordered something far more original than the good cup of drip coffee which I had :)
