  Food was fantastic, I had the ribs and we ordered the empanadas- so delicious with the mango marmalade. Drinks were on special. Music was wonderful. Sun was shining and sat on the warmed patio. Only thing that would make it better would likely be a few more wait staff.

  This was the first time my friends and I went there, but the waiter was quite rude and did not hide his dislike with us, simply because we wanted to move to a different table, which was empty and the place was only half full. He actually managed to create a tense atmosphere for the customers, despite the fact there was no reason to have one, which is quite impressive. I'm certain it's not always like that, but I was genuinely surprised that that person was allowed to work in a restaurant with such poor customer service skills (which are essential if you want to work as a waiter). Hopefully he just had a bad day or poor sleep the night before (although that shouldn't justify his unprofessional behavior in a work environment).

  The food was good, and the service was slow, but polite and competent. However, we won't be going back as this is yet another restaurant that sees fit to blast its patrons with obnoxiously loud music to the point that you almost have to shout to be heard by the person sitting right next to you. It's enough to give one a splitting headache, and makes me feel as though I am being chased out of the restaurant. Well, congratulations 'The Reef' you have succeeded in your mission and chased out a customer.
  
  In short, the food is very good, but don't eat here if you want to hear the person(s) you're dining with. In fact, maybe just don't eat here at all.

  This was my first time at this location. I've eaten many times at the Commercial Drive and Victoria locations and always had good experiences. I won't ever be going back to the Main St location.
  
  To start off, we waited at the door to be seated per the sign. We had to wait about 5 min to be seated. We weren't even acknowledge for about 2min by staff while we waited. It wasn't even busy, there were 4 tables with people and 5 people at the bar.
  
  After we were seated, we waited about 12 min to order our food and drinks. No one came to check on us and take our drink order either. The waitress and waiter didn't even come by to take our order, we actually had to flag them to come to.
  
  The staff came to out table to bring us our drinks and food which came quickly enough. My bf liked his food but mine was not good. I ordered the Mo-Ca burger. It was very salty and there was no pineapple on it. The waitress never came by to check on us to find out how our meal was either.
  
  When we were finished, we flagged the waitress for our bill. It was a very disappointing experience. I have never felt so neglected as a customer before.
  
  Also no Johnny Cakes. We won't be coming back to this location.

  The service was questionable. Walked in about 30 min to closing and the staff refused to acknowledge my existence as clearly did not want another customer and wanted to go home early as the remaining customers were paying their bills. The food is healthy and wholesome and reasonably priced which makes us for the dismal service.
