  Fun bar with great cocktails. They try to do dueling pianos. The players are fun and the music great, but unfortunately the bar layout doesn't really lend itself to an event like that.

  My favourite little hidden gem in all of downtown. I have no affiliation to this bar but I'm surprise to read the negative staffing reviews. Last time I went I got sat up at the bar beside woman who turned out to be the female owner. She was super friendly, as was the bartender who mixed a mean Old Fashioned. There's always great live music and it's fun, unpretentious atmosphere. Where else do the waiters and bartenders get up and sing?! It's definitely the closest place in town I've found to a New Orleans vibe.

  We had an amazing experience at Revel Room last weekend. I had booked a large party to have a low-key celebration for my birthday. It was a 'gamble' as I had never been to Revel Room before, and our crowd's age range is 35-60.. I trusted the excellent reviews. Genni was the most prompt to respond to my requests, out of all of the places I sent inquiries to. I was unsure of numbers, and still, this was met with understanding and, I could feel, a smile. We had close to 25 people. The server was so attentive- one of my guests commented on how good the service was, because she had ordered a diet coke, and the server apologized if it was taking a bit longer, as they had run out, and had sent someone to go get one. That is above and beyond, most places would tell you they ran out. The ambience- cozy and warm, love the exposed brick/ loft like feel upstairs. The music- soulful. The food- delicious- I had the Jambalaya which was very tasty, and all the guests told me their food was excellent. It appeals to all ages- great that it has such a diverse age range and type. We will be back, as will our guests. There is already talk of Thursday nights and the dueling pianos. Thank goodness we have this place in Vancouver! I will definitely book ahead as it's quite the well-known gem in the city. Thanks Genni and staff

  Love the Revel. Sometimes busy, but great live music and specialty drinks you won't find anywhere else, at least not at a price. Drink prices are slightly higher than average but fresh ingredients and attention to detail make this a unique experience.

  Came with work colleagues to say goodbye to someone leaving for a new job. My 1st time here. The atmosphere is kitchy and awesome. Music was great! My Cadillac margarita was honestly TOO good. And the chicken bites I had were delish. Great place!
