Reviews about Trafalgars Bistro
- 5 / 5By Kaity IgariWe enjoyed an anniversary brunch here, and were delighted at the pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and deliciously nuanced food. We enjoyed rich brie and baguette to start; I had a refreshing and flavorful nicoise salad with a staff-recommended chardonnay, and my partner had an AMAZING pulled pork eggs benedict and local beer. Dessert and coffee were the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Thank you, Trafalgars!May 13, 2017
- 5 / 5By Laura DwernichukMy husband and I came for lunch recently. The service was exceptional! When we arrived I was asked if we had a reservation, having said no the hostess said "we will find you a great table, please follow me!" After being seated the waitress arrived and welcomed us for our first visit in the restaurant. I had the Nicoise salad which was colorful, well plated, and very tasty. My husband had the steak frites with the salmon chowder, both were excellent. For dessert we had the sticky toffee cake from their extensive dessert selection. Thanks for the great experience! I would not hesitate to come back to this hidden gem :)March 21, 2017
- 5 / 5By Ruth HibbardMy husband and I enjoyed dining at Trafalgar's last Saturday and opted for their very reasonably priced prix fixe menu. We LOVED the seared jumbo scallops with caramelized onion jam, the lamb burger (thankfully, served with more caramelized onions) and best part of all, choice of any dessert from Sweet Obsession! My husband opted for his usual, the Sweet Obsession flourless chocolate triangle and I chose the dessert of the day for a change. The server was so sweet and the wines she recommended pairing with each course hit the mark! An excellent dining experience all round.February 16, 2017
- 5 / 5By Iolanda MillarStill my favorite restaurant in Vancouver! That magic combination of great service, consistently excellent food and the ability to both see and hear your dining companions is what keeps us coming back. And unlike other restaurants of this caliber, they'll let you sit for as long as you want. It's hard to know what to start with on the food recommendations, because there are many, and the menu changes seasonally, but you haven't lived until you've had the Andrea cocktail, named for and invented by the long-time manager. It's a magic combination that has Calvados as its base, and I believe there's orange bitters in there as well. Otherwise, I had an awesome linguine with clams, garlic and fresh herbs there the other day. When I'm feeling carnivorous, the flank steak is delicious, and it's served with scrumptious scalloped potatoes. The dessert list is idiotically good and has been known to reduce grown men to, if not exactly tears, then incoherent happy mumblings. Of the many offerings, a few of my favorites are the lime-raspberry tart, the creme brulee and the sticky toffee gingerbread cake. Final bonus, they're the only local restaurant that serves my husband's favorite champagne - Pol Roger.November 15, 2016
- 5 / 5By James JohnsonBeen here a few times and the hospitality is very warm, relaxed and friendly. We had muscles which were delicious but nothing compared to the lamb burger which was memorable. Such a shame the owners are retiring and it is due to close. Vancouver needs more restaurants like these!October 18, 2016
