  Cheapest option for grocery around the UBC area. Better drive 7KMs than pay that extra bit in Safeway or Saveonfoods (Wholefoods is ridiculous so not even including them in the list). They do not have everything but whatever they have they are fairly priced. I would call this an extended pop-n-mom store. Very very cold there, so go with a jacket through the year :)

  Even in the busiest times there is usually parking, the selection of goods is great for the basics, and they have some nice sales every so often on some of the premium goods. Their ice-cream, desserts, fruits and veggies are more expensive than other places, but their yogurts, canned soups, and frozen veggies are cheaper than any other major grocery stores.

  The water content of their meat has gone ridiculous. I cooked some of their beef fast fry's and ended up with soup. Just look at he chicken before you buy it... you'll notice the package is full of water and other liquid, falsely bringing the price up.
