  The regular dinner menu is pricey, but the lunch specials are -amazing- in terms of value and flavour. The menu is very authentic, as well, which as someone who used to live in Japan I can often miss at all the fusion places these days. The service is so nice too :)

  Authentic Japanese restaurant. They make their OWN Udon, which is really good. But I don't like their tempura. I like thin light batters. Their batter was almost bread like; so thick! A little on the expensive side.

  Ate here for a friend's birthday dinner because he likes fancy things. I had the Omakase 60 (courtesy of said friend) and a Home Udon—simply out of this world. The udon had a modicum of MSG taste (maybe the broth was a tad rich for my palette), but otherwise very hearty and homely. The Omakase... I have a hard time describing. It won't every be the same twice because that's the point of the dish. Each piece was prepared with such attention and care; each piece feeling the warmth of the chef's hand. The bluefin tuna was/is one of the best things I've ever tasted. So fatty you could see the textured flesh mixed with the marble fat. It melted in my mouth, no chewing required. I would have to go to Japan to experience better.
