  A Japanese staple for us, Shizenya never disappoints. The brown rice sushi feels really healthy, the fish is always fresh (I have been there at least 30 times over the past 4 years). The Ocean Quartet salad is the best sushi value in the city in my opinion. My vegetarian friends are very happy with the selection here. Nice staff : )

  Delicious and healthy Japanese food with plenty of vegetarian options :) we go to Shizenya regularly after work because it's so close, and we love the cozy atmosphere. Their rolls all use brown rice, and none of the dishes we've had have been oily at all! And everything we've tried has still been very tasty despite trying to be healthy. Would highly recommend!

  Limited menu but all are done using quality ingredients and have good flavour. Staff are pleasant and attentive. Clean and nicely decorated. One or our go to places when we are in the neighbourhood, usually for dance practice or dance party at the nearby ballroom.

  This place I find is really a hit or miss. They have some really delicious food -- they have some really yummy sushi rolls and they are really the experts in brown rice sushi, but they also have some foods that were really not appealing -- I wouldn't order anything chicken there, they have this weird stick to your teeth texture... plus sometimes the service is just really bad. The last time I was there I waited nearly 10 minutes for a menu and it wasn't even busy (the table next to us got their bill when they still had food on their table before we got menus) and then it took another 15 minutes before they came to take our order. They took the order of that same table next to us who now had new guests sitting there before coming to take ours. I don't think they meant anything by it... just a bit clueless resulting in a very long wait for what should have been a quick dinner. I usually order takeout and I'll stick to that in the future.

  Went here with my friend who is allergic to pretty much everything. I had the beef teriyaki with some rolls. It was great! Tasted really fresh and seasoning was spot on. AND my friend didn't have any reaction. Awesome to be able to add another spot to the list of safe places to eat for my friend.
